This past weekend was our very first Wedding Expo to help push our photography business. Though I've been doing photography for about 10 years now. It has been more of a hobby with little jobs here and there. But nothing I thought I'd pursue full time. But with the help of my wife, and her backing me 100%, it's definitely been a blessing. The ultimate goal is to have more free time for my family, while doing something I love.
So going in to this we had ZERO clue of what to expect, how to set up a photography booth, or if people actually go to these wedding expos. We just had our wedding in August, and not once have we gone to a wedding or bridal expo. We've done craft fairs to sell our clothing brand, www.ThrowbackLeague.com, but nothing like this! We went in with the mindset that any exposure is good exposure. Especially knowing the reason people are attending the expo is to hire companies like us! The entire weekend went well. Our booth turned out exactly how we envisioned it, and be WE, I mean Blossom & Kaycee! hahaha.. We got a lot of compliments on our booth and I think we passed out more than 250 fliers to brides/couples. So with that being said.. it was a success for us! Although I did get the feeling from other vendors that it wasn't the turnout they were expecting. But what do I know?
To add to the craziness.. we're doing another event in January! The Bridal Expo, January 11-13 at the Blaisdell Center. We got word from other vendors that THIS is the expo to go to and the turnout is 3-4x the amount that the wedding expo had. So please, please, please come visit us or tell your friends and family about us!
